On August 23, a delegation from Malaysia, led by YB Teo Kok Seong, Member of the Negeri Sembilan State Executive Council and Minister of Industrial Development, visited Orient Group headquarters. The Group’s General Manager, Liu Lei, along with senior executives, gave the delegation a warm welcome.
The delegation toured the Group’s five key business sectors: Modern Agriculture, Construction Engineering, Hotel Services, Port Logistics, and Real Estate Development, focusing on key projects. After the tour, they visited the corporate culture exhibition hall, gaining a comprehensive understanding of the Group’s development history and business scope.
Both parties then held talks in the 11th-floor conference room at the Group headquarters. During the meeting, General Manager Liu Lei extended a warm welcome to the delegation and briefly introduced the Group’s efforts and expansion in the Southeast Asian market. Mr. Liu also emphasized that Malaysia offers a stable political environment, a welcoming cultural atmosphere, and significant investment potential, expressing optimism for future investment opportunities.
YB Teo Kok Seong specifically brought attention to Negeri Sembilan, pointing out that it is a major industrial hub in Malaysia, with excellent infrastructure, a robust labor force, and attractive investment incentives. The Chief Executive Officer of Invest Negeri Sembilan, Dato' Haji Najmuddin Sharif bin Sarimon, provided insights into the state government’s plans and the development of industrial parks, inviting Orient Group to explore investment opportunities in the region.
Subsequently, Mr. Choo Ewe Chuen, Director of Tanco Holdings Berhad, shared a brief analysis of potential investment sectors, expressing interest in leveraging the construction expertise of Orient Group alongside the local resources of Tanco Holdings Berhad to identify the most advantageous collaboration models.
Towards the end of the meeting, General Manager Liu Lei outlined initial plans for a forthcoming visit to Malaysia, looking forward to harnessing Malaysia’s market potential and the development capabilities of Chinese enterprises to explore new growth opportunities together.
The meeting was also attended by Executive Vice General Manager Wang Jibai, Party Secretary Liu Qiang, Deputy General Manager of Yongcheng Construction Lou Decheng, Liu Feng from the Overseas Business Division, and Cao Dong, Minister of Human Resources.
